People have a variety of reactions after an energy session. Some people feel bliss, some feel extremely relaxed and ready for a nap, and some feel very tired. For some people who have a lot of stuck energy and past traumas, feeling very tired after an energy healing session is a common experience.
Fatigue after an energy healing session can be attributed to various factors:
1. Release of Pent-up Emotions
During an energy healing session, the practitioner may work to clear energy blockages and release emotional tension or trauma. This release can be accompanied by a sense of emotional and mental exhaustion as the person processes and integrates these changes.
2. Relaxation Response
Energy healing techniques often induce a state of deep relaxation. After the session, the body’s parasympathetic nervous system is activated, which can lead to feelings of drowsiness and fatigue.
3. Energy shift
Energy healing aims to rebalance the body’s energy, and this shift in energy can sometimes lead to temporary tiredness as the body adjusts to the changes.
4. Detoxification
Some energy healing modalities are believed to assist the body in detoxification. As toxins are released from the body, individuals may experience feelings of fatigue.
5. Releasing Physical Tension
Energy healing can help release physical tension and promote better energy flow in the body. However, the process of releasing tension might leave one feeling tired afterward.
6. Introspection and Self-awareness
Energy healing can bring about a heightened sense of self-awareness and introspection. This deep inner work can be mentally and emotionally draining, leading to feelings of tiredness.
7. Individual Response
Each person’s response to energy healing is unique. Some individuals may feel invigorated after a session, while others might feel more fatigued.
It’s essential to remember that feeling tired after an energy healing session is not necessarily a negative sign. It can indicate that the session has initiated a process of healing and restoration.
Self-care you can perform after an energy session if you are feeling fatigued include:
- First and foremost, drink water, with electrolytes if possible. This is a recipe I found online but you can look for other recipes that make your palette more happy if this one isn’t appealing.
You can pick one of these activities. It is not necessary to do them all. Remember you are tired afterall. 🙂
- Taking a warm bath with a cup of sea salt dissolved in the water, feel free to add a few drops of any favorite essential oil.
- Have a nap.
- Take a slow walk outside.
- Watch an uplifting movie.
- If you have no choice but to get back to work – put your feet on the ground and imagine the sun coming through your body to recharge you or you can practice a breathing technique that can help you to recharge such as this one. This 2-minute breathing exercise is like a cup of coffee
However, if the fatigue persists, have a look at this video and make sure you aren’t doing anything to contribute to the fatigue. Remember, this list is not exhaustive.
